Books About Elmo
Elmo is pure love, packed into a diminutive body covered with bright red fur, but what a big heart! Elmo really changed Sesame Street when he came on the scene in the mid 80's. Kevin Clash created Elmo's enthusiastic falsetto and his big personality, much like Kevin's own. Elmo became unbelievably popular and changed Sesame Street, and Sesame Street books, overnight. Although Elmo is now performed by Ryan Dillon, I will always fondly remember taking my grandchildren to the set of Sesame Street, and being given the grand tour by Kevin Clash and Elmo!
Elmo's Big Lift and Look Book
Elmo's Big Lift and Look Book was the first of several oversized board books featuring flaps that open doors, windows, or almost anything to reveal what's underneath. This was one of those assignments with a skeletal manuscript, so most of it was pretty much made up as I went along. It's an immensely popular book. My favorite flap is the piano keyboard cover on the last page!

Elmo's Super-Duper Birthday
Elmo has all his Sesame Street friends over to celebrate his birthday. His special birthday wish, though, is something very generous, which his parents and friends can help him make happen.
Elmo's Merry Christmas
Elmo loves Christmas, and Oscar doesn't, but Oscar is included by his friends anyway.
